Dr Jiahao Peng

Research Interests

Jiahao Peng joined the Spintronics and Quantum Nanoelectronics Group in August 2026.
His research focuses on crystal structure prediction and the design of functional materials. He is experienced in using USPEX and other structure prediction tools, and incorporates recent AI for Science methods into his work. He also improves multi-objective strategies to directly predict hydrid superconductors.
In his current research, he combines theoretical predictions with thin-film growth experiments to validate synthesis strategies that enhance superconductivity. He plans to explore ultrafast dynamics at interfaces between superconductors and magnetic materials, focusing on how spin propagates across these interfaces and how spin transport could be used to control superconductivity.
