By Plane

From Dresden Airport

Dresden airport is approximately 12 km away from Dresden.
Train20 min. to the Dresden Central Station (Dresden Hauptbahnhof) by S-Bahn line 2 (S-2) (access map to the station ). A ticket can be purchased at the red-coloured vending machine on the platform. Please stamp the date/time using the blue-coloured box next to it.
From the Dresden Central Station, 5 min. to Plauen Nöthnitzer Straße by Tram line 3 (destination to Coschütz), whose stop is just outside the main entrance of the Central Station. A ticket (either a single or 4 times) can be purchased at the yellow-coloured vending machine on the platform. Please stamp the date/time using the red-coloured box on the tram (timetable).
After getting off the tram at the Plauen, please turn to the left into the Nöthnitzer Straße and pass the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems (building with wooden front). The Institute is located in the next building on the right side of the street (red wall at the entrance area).

By Train

From Dresden Hauptbahnhof and Dresden Neustadt, 5 and 15 min., respectively to Plauen Nöthnitzer Straße by Tram line 3 (destination to Coschütz) as detailed above.

By Car

At the interchange Dresden-West, please change the motorway A4 to the motorway A17 - Prag. At the exit Dresden-Südvorstadt follow the B170 in the direction Stadtmitte about 2.5 km until the second large crossing (follow the sign of "Plauen"). Turn to the left into Nöthnitzer Straße. The institute (with a red wall at the entrance) is situated after about 600 m on the left side of the street.
From the inner city, please follow the signs A17 (B170 - Prag). The B170 crosses the campus of the Dresden Technical University. Follow the sign "Plauen" at the next junction and turn right into Nöthnitzer Straße.
Parking: Please use the drive named "Anlieferung MPI-CPfS" and park on the signed area.
